This recording is an audio description of the this is me, then there is us, and then there is outwards poster on the Fungus Press Board in The Walled Garden at Park Hill Park.

The poster is arms-width and one arm height. There is a QR code in the bottom left corner of the poster, about 5 cm away from the poster edge both ways. The QR code will take you to the website meusoutwards.com.

The style of illustration is graphic, blocky and colourful. There is no line art, no shading, no detail, only shapes of colour, representing things.

The image is an interpretation of Croydon’s high rise buildings, they surround the centre of the poster as if looking up through a fish eye lens.

In the top middle part of the poster, there is a small, thin, light grey building with two dark grey windows and two slightly darker grey vertical lines going up both sides of the building. The building is the scaffolding of the new skyscrapers called Ten Degrees.

In the top right corner of the poster, there is a medium width, dark green building with lighter green vertical lines going up it. The building is 101 George Street.

In the middle right side of the poster, there is a medium width, dark grey building with light grey vertical lines going up it. The building is Taberner House.

In the bottom right corner, is a medium width, light blue building, with dark blue horizontal lines going across it. The building is Croydon Council HQ.

In the bottom middle side of the poster, slightly to the right, there is a medium grey building with one large white window going up it. The building is unspecific. Slightly to the left, there is a light grey building, with two white windows on top of each other vertically going up it. The building is unspecific.

In the bottom left corner of the poster, there is a long, wide, grey building with slightly darker grey vertical lines going up it. The building is Nestle Tower.

In the top right corner of the poster, there is a long, wide, purple building, with light pink and dark pink, abstract shapes vertically going up it. At the top of the building, there is a portion which is grey, looking like a glass roof. This building is Saffron Tower, also known as Pinnacle Apartments.

None of the buildings touch, in the gaps, there are small blocks of colour, in light grey, medium grey, dark grey and light blue, representing buildings behind the main ones.

The buildings feel as if they are towering over you. You are trapped with nowhere to look except up. The buildings form an oval of sky in the centre of the poster. Behind them, it looks like a cloudy day, a white sky with 3 slightly darker grey clouds in a circular form. One small cloud, one medium cloud hiding behind the nestle building, and one large cloud hiding behind 101 George Street, Taberner House and Croydon Council HQ.

In the centre of the poster, in the middle of the clouds, is black text in lowercase which says “this is me, then there is us, and then there is outwards”. The text is the focus of the image, as all of the buildings point towards it, and the clouds surround it.
